A man in his early 20s has died following a car crash in Co Tipperary.

A man in his early 20s has died following a car crash in Co Tipperary.

The collision happened at Lower Ballylynch in Carrick-on-Suir at around 2.50am.

There was no other vehicle involved.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to South Tipperary General Hospital.

The road was closed for a forensic examination.

Gardaí at Clonmel have appealed for witnesses.
