Man dies in Monaghan workplace accident

A 63-year-old man has died while working at a building site in Co Monaghan.

A 63-year-old man has died while working at a building site in Co Monaghan.

It is understood the man received injuries while working on a construction site on the Armagh Road, outside Monaghan town, at around 11.40am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two separate investigations by the Gardaí as well as the Health & Safety Authority have now been launched.
