A Polish man has died in a diving accident in Co Donegal.
The victim, aged in his early 40s, was around four miles off Malin Head when he got into difficulties, a Coastguard spokesman said.
A helicopter airlifted him to Altnagelvin hospital in Derry but he was pronounced dead there.
He is the second diver to die this weekend after a man died while diving near Roches Point at the entrance to Cork Harbour.
Meanwhile, a man has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle after an accident at Fair Head, near Ballycastle in Co Antrim.
A lifeboat crew located him and administered first aid early this morning. A helicopter from Scotland then winched a paramedic to the scene.
A spokesman for the RNLI said: “In a difficult operation, the lifeboat crew and coastguards placed the injured man into a stretcher and recovered him from the rocks to the lifeboat.
“He was then transferred to a waiting ambulance crew at Ballycastle Harbour.
“His condition was stable.”
