A man has died in a road traffic accident in Limerick city today.

Man dies in Limerick road accident

A man has died in a road traffic accident in Limerick city today.

The man who was aged in his early 20s died after the car he was driving hit a pole on the Corbally Road just before 5am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Limerick's Henry Street garda station.
