Man dies following airlift to Sligo hospital
A man has died after being airlifted to hospital in Sligo.
Emergency services were called to Aughris Head last night after the man - who was part of a group of about 10 kayakers - got into difficulty.
CPR was administered at the scene after which he was transferred to Sligo University Hospital.
The kayaker has since passed away.
