A car being pursued by gardaí has crashed in Kerry, claiming the life of a 30-year-old man.

A car being pursued by gardaí has crashed in Kerry, claiming the life of a 30-year-old man.

The Gardaí say they were chasing the vehicle after receiving reports that it was being driven dangerously.

The car eventually went out of control and crashed on a sharp bend in Derreenacullic, near Kilgarvan, just after 11.30pm, claiming the life of the front-seat passenger.

Three other people in the car were also injured and taken to Tralee General Hospital, where one of them is understood to be in a serious condition.
