A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Dublin's Killiney.

Just after midday, a lone gunman burst into a building society at Killiney Shopping Centre where he threatened staff and made off with an amount of cash.

No-one was injured in the robbery, and Gardaí say they recovered a gun which they believe was used to carry out the raid, as well as a sum of money.

No shots were fired during the incident.

The man is being held for questioning by Dun Laoghaire Gardaí.
