Man detained as Customs sieze €20k at Shannon Airport
Up to €20,000 in cash has been seized by Revenue at Shannon Airport in Co Clare.
Officers stopped and searched a 26-year-old man yesterday during a routine operation.
He was about to board a flight to Paris.
The case came before Ennis District Court earlier where officers were granted a three-month detention order in respect of the cash to allow them carry out further investigations.
