Man charged with Melbourne murder
11/09/2012 - 08:36:13In Australia, a man has been charged with the murder of Irish backpacker David Greene, who died in hospital in Melbourne last week.
Luke James Wentholt had previously been charged with assault following the attack at a boarding house in St Kilda East last month.
Greene and his friend David Byas, both from Dun Laoghaire in Dublin, were injured with a hammer during the assault.
David Greene passed away in hospital last week and Byas is recovering in a rehabilitation centre.
Wentholt will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court later.
