A man has been charged by police investigating a window display of a snowman holding a rocket launcher in Northern Ireland.

A man has been charged by police investigating a window display of a snowman holding a rocket launcher in Northern Ireland.

The image at Chamberlain Street in Londonderry in October included the message: "Wishing you an Explosive Christmas."

A Police Service of Northern Ireland statement said: "Police investigating an incident involving a window display in the Chamberlain Street area of Derry/Londonderry in October have charged a 29-year-old man with two counts of permitting display of anything provocative.

"He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday January, 3."
