Gardaí have charged a man over the theft of an ATM machine in Co Sligo earlier this year.

Gardaí have charged a man over the theft of an ATM machine in Co Sligo earlier this year.

On January 29, an ATM machine was stolen in its entirety in Tubbercurry. It was later recovered completely intact alongside a digger, Nissan van, and lowloader.

A 42-year-old male was arrested on Friday and appeared before a special sitting of the Carrick-on-Shannon District Court in Leitrim earlier today.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in court again late next week.
