A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Finglas on Sunday last.

A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Finglas on Sunday last.

Edward O’Connor, 41, was murdered after two groups of people were involved in altercations at a roadside in Finglas, north Dublin.

Gardaí believe there had been an earlier row between individuals.

Mr O’Connor, from the Finglas area, was shot in Ballycoolin Road following the confrontation.

The man is due to appear in court in the morning.

A second man and a woman arrested in relation to this investigation have been released from Garda custody without charge.
