Gardaí have charged a 32-year-old man in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of heroin in Dundrum in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí have charged a 32-year-old man in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of heroin in Dundrum in Dublin yesterday.

The man will appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court at 10.30am.

A 17-year-old female who was also questioned about the seizure has been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Yesterday gardaí stopped and searched a car on Sandymount Road and discovered heroin worth €140,000.

During a follow up search of a house at Ballyogan Green in Carrickmines heroin worth €140,000 was also discovered.
