Police in Craigavon have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, following a stabbing incident in the town yesterday.

Police in Craigavon have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, following a stabbing incident in the town yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 7pm when a man aged in his twenties sustained a number of stab wounds following a row involving the driver of a dark coloured car.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

The suspect was arrested in the Dungannon area and is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
