Man arrested in Donegal in connection with Belfast murder

A man in his 40s has been arrested in Donegal in relation to the murder of Edward Gibson in Belfast.

The 28-year-old father-of-one was shot dead in the Divis area of the city last October.

Shortly after 9am this morning Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s in south Donegal in relation to the murder.

He is being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station.


It is understood a 56-year-old woman has also been detained by the PSNI in Belfast this morning as part of the investigation.
