Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in relation to shots that were fired outside the Donaghmeade home of Real IRA boss Alan Ryan, on the day he was buried.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in relation to shots that were fired outside the Donaghmeade home of Real IRA boss Alan Ryan, on the day he was buried.

The man in his 30s was detained last night and is being held at Raheny garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

He is being questioned over the possession and discharge of firearms at Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede, Dublin 13 on September 8 last, and over the activities of dissident republicans in the area.
