A 43-year-old man has been arrested as part of a police investigation into a bomb attack on a police station in the North 15 years ago.

He was detained in the Moy area of Co Armagh this morning.

Eleven people were injured and extensive damage was caused when the car bomb exploded outside the unmanned police station in Moira, Co Down, on February 20, 1998.

The car had been packed with more than 200kg of explosives.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the suspect had been taken to Antrim station for questioning by detectives from the serious crime branch.
