Gardaí have arrested a man after a taxi driver was robbed in Dublin yesterday evening.

Gardaí have arrested a man after a taxi driver was robbed in Dublin yesterday evening.

The incident took place at aaround 7.25pm at Terrace Place in the north inner city, when a man travelling in the taxi allegedly produced a firearm and demanded cash.

He then left the scene on foot.

The 31-year-old was arrested and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
