A man in his 30s been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Dublin building society.

A man in his 30s been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Dublin building society.

A lone gunman burst into the premises at Killiney Shopping Centre at around midday. He threatened staff and made off with some cash.

Gardaí say they have found a gun which they believe was used to carry out the raid, as well as a sum of money.

No shots were fired during the incident and no-one was injured.

The man who was detained is being held for questioning by Dun Laoghaire gardaí.
