Gardaí in Cork have arrested a man and seized cannabis with a street value of €228,000 following a search of a woods near Blarney.

Gardaí in Cork have arrested a man and seized cannabis with a street value of €228,000 following a search of a woods near Blarney.

The discover was made yesterday at Kilclough, Vicarstown by gardaí from the Cork Divisional Drugs Unit

Some 38kg of cannabis reson was found in the woods and a 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He is being held at Gurranabraher Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
