€40,000 worth of cannabis has been seized in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

A 36-year-old man was arrested after the joint operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Nenagh Divisional Drugs Unit.

Around 2 kilos of cannabis herb was recovered.

The man is being detained at Nenagh garda station under drug trafficking legislation.
