Man and woman hospitalised after accidents in Cork and Tipperary


Two people have been taken to Cork University Hospital after accidents in Cork and Tipperary this morning.

A man who suffered head injuries in a quadbiking accident in Borrisokane has been airlifted by the Shannon Coastguard helicopter.

A woman who suffered an injury in a yacht coming into Castletownbere has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The responses to both emergencies were co-ordinated by the Marine Rescue Co-Ordination Centre on Valentia Island.
