It was a busy two days at National Lottery Headquarters in Dublin as €615,000 in prize money was claimed by four different players across EuroMillions and National Lottery scratch card games.

The winners included a Wexford syndicate which won €500,000 in last Friday’s EuroMillions Plus draw.

There were also National Lottery scratch card winners from Laois (€50,000), Clare (€40,000) and Dublin (€25,000).

The winning EuroMillions Plus ticket was sold at The Kiosk, Abbey Square in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford on Thursday May 19, the day before the draw.

The winning Wexford syndicate who wish to remain private, said: “This is an amazing feeling. We are all still coming to terms with our huge win but we are going to enjoy the next few days before we put together a plan for our winnings,’ said one of the winners.

“We will of course look after our friends and our family but we have already discussed a nice long holiday to Bondi Beach in Australia in the coming months, so that’s something to look forward to.”

Another big winner was Bridget Phelan from Rathdowney, Co Laois who won €50,000 on an All Cash Platinum scratch card. The lucky €5 winning ticket was sold at the XL Shop in Rathdowney, Co Laois.

Discussing her plans for her €50,000 cheque, Bridget said: “I have so many plans for my winnings. I need to get a new kitchen in the house and I definitely need to get a newer car than the one I have now.”

“I turn 60 in a couple of weeks so we will have a big celebration for all of my family and friends.

“After that, I am going to bring both my sister and my best friend away on a small break and look after them for the weekend.”

Other winners included a €40,000 win on a €3 Money Multiplier X10 scratch card which was sold at SuperValu in Milltown Malbay, Co Clare while there was also a €25,000 winner on a €10 All Cash Spectacular scratch card which was sold in Spar on Weavers Row in Clonsilla, Dublin 15.

Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot is a guaranteed €45m.
