Two men have been arrested by gardaí targeting criminal and subversive activity in Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Two men have been arrested by gardaí targeting criminal and subversive activity in Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Six premises were searched during an early morning operation.

The men, one his 30s and one in his 70s, are being detained at Drogheda Garda station.

Gardaí said the operation is not directly related to the investigation into the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
