Louth County Council has been forced to shut its offices to the public amid protests over Traveller accommodation.
Demonstrators gathering outside the Council are unhappy at their decision to evict residents from an unofficial halting site at Woodland Park in Dundalk.
Twenty-three families have been ordered to leave by the local authority who have health and safety concerns over the site, after a recent fire safety audit.
Former residents say they have been left homeless as alternative accommodation being offered, including outside Dundalk, is unsuitable.
Catriona McDonagh, who was taking part in today's protest, said: "We hope the Council can give somewhere for these people to live. They're homeless, they have no homes. The children are out of school.
"They have rights like everyone else."
