Live Register figures dip in April

The Live Register dropped by 4,400 last month.

The CSO has released seasonally adjusted figures showing the decrease of 1.4%.

There were 312,700 people signing on the Live Register in April.

Last month 54.8% (167,563) of all claimants on the Live Register were short term claimants. That’s up 0.9% on last year.
