Lithuanian man faces extradition

A Lithuanian man. living in Co Galway under an assumed identity, is facing extradition on organised crime charges.
Thomas Luote was detained at Tuam Court this morning on a European Arrest Warrant and brought before the High Court this evening.
The 24-year-old is wanted for prosecution on two charges dating back to 2008.
He has been remanded in custody until Tuesday week.
Gardaí have indicated they will raise strong objections to bail because he has been operating under an assumed identity in Ireland.
