Limerick men on cannabis arrests released


Two men arrested in Limerick over the discovery of cannabis herb and resin in the city yesterday have been released without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Half a million euro worth of cannabis was discovered after a car was stopped on the Ballysimon Road at 1pm yesterday afternoon.

A further €130,000 worth of cannabis was recovered during a follow-up search of a house in the Rhebogue area of the city.
