A man and a woman in their 20's remain in Garda custody this morning in connection with a robbery and assault in Limerick.

Limerick Gardaí question two after man forced off road and robbed in car

A man and a woman in their 20's remain in Garda custody this morning in connection with a robbery and assault in Limerick.

The incident happened on the M20 at Dooradoyle at around 1.40am on Wednesday morning.

A man in his 30s was forced off the road, and was then threatened and robbed at knife-point.

A sum of money was stolen, and he was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The man arrested is being detained at Henry Street Garda station, while the woman is being questioned by Gardaí at Roxboro Road.
