Gardaí in Limerick are seeking help in finding a 19-year-old who travelled here from Scotland after being convicted of sexual assault.

Pakistani national Mian Mujahid Ali Shahid was last seen in the Foynes area of Limerick on August 11.

A European arrest warrant has been issued for the man, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison for the sexual assault of an 18-year-old in Stafford Crown Court.

Gardaí believe that he is still in Ireland.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Henry Street Garda station in Limerick
