Lifeboat called out to rescue sailors off Cork coast


Two men on board a yacht off the coast of Co Cork have been rescued by the Courtmacsherry RNLI lifeboat.

It was called out shortly after 3pm this afternoon to aid the vessel which got into difficulties three miles south of the Old Head of Kinsale.

The lifeboat with a crew of seven arrived on scene within half an hour and have towed the yacht back to shore.

The two men are safe with no injuries to report.
