Lenihan: No protection for homeowners in Budget
13/11/2009 - 09:21:21The Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has hinted that there will be no legal protection for homeowners who have trouble making their mortgage repayments when he unveils his Budget next month.
Mr Lenihan has insisted again that there has been no 'avalanche' of home repossessions.
Instead he says help for homeowners will come through different options.
He said legal protection can have a negative outcome in the long run.
