D-Day is here for almost 119,000 students across the country as the Leaving and Junior Certificate exams get underway this morning.

D-Day is here for almost 119,000 students across the country as the Leaving and Junior Certificate exams get underway this morning.

Tests will take place in over 100 subjects, involving 4,000,000 examination papers and just under 5,000 superintendents supervising the proceedings over the coming days.

Pupils are being urged to stay calm this morning, to have a proper breakfast and to get to the exam hall early.
