The search for a man missing off the coast of Co Clare is being wound down this evening, but will resume again tomorrow.
The man, in his 40s, is understood to be from Russia but had been living in the Limerick area.
The alarm was raised when he was swept into the sea while fishing yesterday near Doonbeg.
The Irish Coast Guard's Gerard O'Flynn says the Lough Derg Diving Unit, is among a number of local sub-aqua clubs who are helping with the search.
"Four different groups conducted extensive diving operations today, but unfortunately there was no result," he said.
"The dive was conducted by a Garda diving team supported by three volunteer diving teams supported by Kilkee, Burren and another neighbouring unit - and unfortunately no success."
The search will resume today along the Doonbeg Coast of County Clare for a missing man.
It is believed the Russian national who had been living in Limerick had gone fishing yesterday morning.
A second man is understood to have raised the alarm and alerted emergency services.
The Coastguard as well as divers from the Kilkee Sub Aqua Club are taking part in the search.
