A huge crowd of mourners is expected to attend the funeral of Ian McKeever this morning.

A huge crowd of mourners is expected to attend the funeral of Ian McKeever this morning.

The 42-year-old adventurer and charity worker died after being hit by lightning while leading a group up Mount Kilimanjaro last week.

His funeral mass will take place at the St. Laurence O'Toole Church in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow at 11.30am and he will be cremated afterwards.

Ian's friend Eugene Grey said he would have been humbled by all the glowing tributes following his death.
