Knock Airport forced to close

The icy conditions have forced Ireland West Airport Knock to close for the day.
Officials say plummeting temperatures and overnight snowfall mean runway conditions are unsafe for flights in and out of the airport.
They are asking people not to come to the airport, but instead contact their airline for further information and to make alternative travel arrangements.
"Ireland West Airport Knock regrets any inconvenience caused to passengers arising from the current weather conditions," said a statement.
A further update will be issued at 5pm this evening.
