Kerry Group to create 80 jobs before Christmas
Eighty jobs are to come on stream in Kildare before Christmas as a result of Kerry Group's €100m investment in Naas.
The announcement, made yesterday, will see the construction of a new global technology and innovation centre in Naas.
It will generate 400 construction jobs, and 900 permanent positions by 2016.
Speaking to Kfm, Frank Hayes, director of corporate affairs with the Kerry Group, said that a further 80 jobs will be also generated before March.
"Prior to Christmas we have phase one of the project kicking in right away where we will actually transfer 80 positions to a vacant building which is on the site," he said.
"We will be investing in that to put in the facilities we require in the short term.
"We will bring a further 80 jobs to the site by the end of the first quarter of next year and the hopefully constrcution will commence early next year as well."
