Kenny: Government will not reduce payments to children with special needs19/06/2012 - 19:56:20
The Taoiseach has said that the government has no intention of reducing payments to children with special needs.
Enda Kenny was responding to questions about a protest held today by the parents of children opposing the government's review of the domiciliary care allowance.
The allowance is paid to the carer of a severely disabled child under the age of 16.
Some applications are currently being reviewed by the Department of Social Protection.
But Enda Kenny has said that the government does not intend to reduce the payments.
