Kenny and Shatter receive letters calling on them to look at new Stardust evidence

Letters have been handed into the Taoiseach and the Justice Minister calling on them to look at new evidence in the Stardust disaster.

The families of the victims of the disco fire 32 years ago say what they have is vital to the investigation.

48 young people lost their lives in the Stardust fire in Artane.

Over the years, the families of those victims have been fighting for justice.

They have new evidence which indicates the blaze was spotted earlier than what’s on the public record.

The families have handed in letters to the Justice Minister Alan Shatter and the Taoiseach Enda Kenny today urging them to look at it.

The group say they will release more evidence on the fire on January 20 next year as well as the cause of the fire on the anniversary of the blaze on Valentines Day.
