Jury sworn in for Wexford child-death case
16/04/2012 - 16:58:46A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a man accused of murdering a child in Co Wexford seven years ago.
Thirty-four-year-old Philip Doyle of Tinakilly, Aughrim, Co Wicklow has pleaded not guilty to murdering Ross Murphy at Creagh Desmesne, Gorey, Co Wexford on April 5, 2005.
The jury was told the case which is due to last four weeks concerned "the death of a child".
The trial is due to start tomorrow before a jury of seven men and five women presided over by Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy.
