Jury in double murder trial told it can enter majority verdict


The jury in the trial of a 24-year-old Dublin man accused of gunning down two family friends has been told it can return a majority verdict.

Gary Howard of Emerald Street in the inner city has pleaded not guilty to the double murders of 58-year-old Patrick Mooney and 46-year-old Brendan Molyneux on January 10, 2010.

The jury had deliberated for just under five and a half hours at the Central Criminal Court today when given the option of a majority verdict
