The case was brought by meter installers GMC Sierra who say their employees have experienced a campaign of harassment and intimidation since last summer.
Mr Justice Paul Gilligan ruled the demonstrators breached a court order to stay 20 metres from the works on dates last December around the Stoneybatter and Phibsboro areas of Dublin.
There was huge cheer in court when he found there was insufficient evidence – which included surveillance footage from a private security firm – against two other protesters.
Michael Batty, one of the protesters found in contempt, is in Lanzarote and his solicitor said he is there for health reasons and that he wishes to purge his contempt.
The other four will not give undertakings to abide by the orders.
Mr Justice Gilligan will sentence them at 2pm
