Joyce Tower and Museum to reopen

The Joyce Tower and Museum in Dublin is to reopen, with the help of local volunteers in Dun Laoghaire.

It had been closed on a temporary basis recently due to staffing issues.

Talks have been taking place between Fáilte Ireland and Dun-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, with a view to the Council taking over the full running of the Sandycove museum.

More than 100 locals have volunteered to help run the Tower and it has been confirmed by Fáilte Ireland and Minister for Tourism Leo Varadkar that it will now be open to the public between 10am and 6pm every day until the end of September.
