Almost 4,000 Canadian working holiday visas were snapped up within ten minutes last night.

Almost 4,000 Canadian working holiday visas were snapped up within ten minutes last night.

They opened for registration at 8pm last night and by 8.10pm, all 3,850 of the IEC visas were gone.

A Working Abroad Canada Expo takes place on March 22-23 in Dublin and on March 26 in Cork.

People who secure jobs at the expo will be allocated visas.

A total of 10,700 Canadian Visas, which allow travel and work for up to two years, are up for grabs for Irish citizens.
