Joan Collins TD has received a court summons to face public order charges, following a protest against water charges earlier this year.

The United Left representative has been ordered to appear at Dublin District Court on November 2.

Deputy Collins was one of 13 people arrested after protesting at the installation of water meters on the Parnell Road in Crumlin on April the 20 of this year.

The Dublin South-Central TD said she does not know if the others arrested are to face charges.
