The ISPCA are appealing for information after a dog was found shot dead and dumped in a ditch.

The body of a German Shepherd was found in a plastic bag between the Moynalty and Kingscourt areas in Meath.

The ISPCA have said that it was a female two-year-old dog who was in good health before being shot twice at close range.

It comes less than two months after the bodies of five dogs and a goat were found dumped just 35 kilometres away.

If anyone has any information on the incident they're asked to contact the ISPCA.
