Irish nanny awaits medical report into US baby death


A medical report will be released later into the death of the one-year-old baby an Irish nanny is accused of assaulting in the US.

Aisling McCarthy Brady (aged 34), from Lavey in Co Cavan, remains in custody, charged with assault and battery. Prosecutors have indicated that they may charge her with murder.

Investigators have been revealing more details about the case they are building against her, saying that they found new evidence in the baby's bedroom.

Rehma Sabir died on January 16 in hospital, two days after being admitted.

Aisling McCarthy Brady has denied any involvement in the baby's death.
