Irish exporters 'created almost 4,000 jobs in 2012'

Enterprise Ireland has said there were nearly 4,000 jobs created by Irish exporting companies in 2012.

In its end of year statement, it stated this was the highest net gain for Irish companies since 2006.

Enterprise Ireland said the rise is due primarily to the strong export performance of its client companies, which support 300,000 jobs, or 15% of the Irish workforce.
