Irish exam to go ahead despite breach

Officials from the State Examinations Commission are insisting that this afternoon's Leaving Certificate Irish exams will proceed as scheduled, at 2pm.
It comes after a decision was taken to replace both Higher and Ordinary level papers, following a possible security breach last week.
Secondary schools nationwide are this morning collecting their replacement papers from designated An Post Delivery Offices.
On Friday the State Examinations Commission advised there had been a possible breach in relation to both the Higher and Ordinary Level papers.
