Australia's public broadcaster ABC is reporting the alleged fraud involved conning the elderly in Perth into paying them for poor quality work, allegedly earning the group more than AUS$100,000 (€70,000).

Police arrested seven Irish males, including two 17-year-olds, on Thursday, and another 19 Irish women and children were arrested today.

Police also seized AUS$100,000 in cash, and other items, at a caravan park, as part of the investigation.

All 26 people have had their visas cancelled.
